Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

故事四平八穩，探索鬼屋遇鬼還拿走了鬼的物品，然後鬼來復仇。採取了原著中的幾個故事來作為驚嚇點，連接上也順暢不感突兀。

配角們沒有深度得如平面，經典的聰明瘦削配搞鬼小胖子，班上的霸凌者，花瓶般的女配角，早早死掉，也早早被忘記。

故事嘗試塑造出一點點男女主角的背景，好讓某些故事的感人位置成功拉動人心，可惜短短十數分鐘的加插卻依然沒有深度。

角色塑造成功的反而是鬼這一位被害者和加害者。時代變遷，過往單純因外貌而導致人生巨變的事件真是多不勝數。這鬼，因為死時還是小孩吧，單純地相信女主角會寫出平反的故事就解脫升天了。

恐怖其實也不會太恐怖，故事也沒有多少悶場，相信會有續集吧。

放開meta卜說，電影在故事上蠻紮實的，雖然只是老套的情節，但由於角色和故事間沒有放入其他恐怖電影的cliché，以不少「正常」觀眾的反應進去，倒使得整體很耳目一新。

故事一開始就插入幕後黑手的工作，使人以為其後有什麼更大的陰謀，但其實只是meta的一部份，為原本老套的情節套上另一個老套的情節，但這兩套情節卻產生出了meta的效果，讓觀眾和過去各種不同地方不同文化的恐怖電影都成為其中的一部份，帶出了1+1=3的效果。

就如戲中所說的所問，兄弟，還是黃金？

當然，這種沒有名義的兄弟，在利前，都只是棋子，棄子。

前作，爭龍頭位者，一文一武，火爆直率和老謀深算，在考慮利益下，當然是後者比較得寵了。但直接暴力下做成的波浪，要平息下來也得花心力。

在中港兩地兩方或者說三方角力下，老謀深算穩拿龍頭桿，即使以利誘安撫好火爆直率，但安全起見，還是不得不沾染自己的手，好令自己坐穩。

後作，坐穩了，卻也反悔自己說下的不欲續任的說話，無他，利。這次另一位參選的，也是為了未來能繼續賺錢，不得不硬着頭皮迎難而上挑戰。

可惜的是，兄弟是可以收買的，利，這次再加上暴力，可以令到忠誠的手下變節。但即使成為黑社會的龍頭，也敵不過最大的組織，被繫上頸圈，只好乖乖做事。

最後，想不到站在前線當打手的，雖然疲於奔命，雖然還是沒有地位，但卻也是最能在風暴中挺住的一位。
